Habersham County Elections Office announces runoff voting dates, times, and locations
Georgia voters will soon head back to the polls to decide two statewide runoffs. The races for Secretary of State and PSC District 3 Commissioner are back on the ballot after no candidate received 50% of the vote in the Nov. 6 general election.
Democrat John Barrow and Republican Brad Raffensperger are vying for the Secretary of State’s job. Democrat Lindy Miller hopes to unseat Republican Chuck Eaton on the PSC.
Absentee ballots will be available soon, according to the Habersham County Elections Office. Early voting is Nov. 26-30. Polls will be open weekdays at the Habersham County Elections Office in Clarkesville from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and at the Ruby Fulbright Aquatic Center and First Baptist Church of Cornelia from 8 a.m.-7 p.m.
There is no Saturday voting.
The statewide general runoff is Tuesday, Dec. 4. Voters who wait until that day to vote must vote at their assigned precincts (see list below).
Runoff and Rerun voters
There are 5,205 voters in Habersham County who are eligible to vote in the State House District 28 rerun primary. Of those, 121 have already cast ballots.
Those wanting to cast ballots in both the rerun and runoff elections without making an extra trip to the polls may do so beginning Nov. 26.
