RABUN GAP —Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School will bring back its full-scale holiday production Lux Nativitas next month, presenting an immersive retelling of the Nativity story through music, dance, circus arts and Scripture.
The show, whose Latin title translates to “The Light of the Nativity,” will run Dec. 12–14 at 7 p.m. on the Rearden Stage, with an added 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Dec. 15. The production is sponsored by Rabun County Bank | Traditions Bank.
Featuring students from all divisions of the school, Lux Nativitas blends artistic performance with faith-centered storytelling. Organizers say this year’s expanded program will include new acts designed to build on last year’s sold-out run, which drew audiences from across the region.
“Lux Nativitas stands apart from traditional Christmas shows by offering an immersive experience that combines the wonder of circus arts, the elegance of dance, and the power of live music to retell the story of the Nativity,” Artistic Director Joshua Miller said. “Last year’s sold-out performances were magical, and this year, with exciting new acts and even more student talent, we’re creating a celebration of the holiday season that the entire community can enjoy.”
The school will also host a holiday food drive during the performances, encouraging attendees to bring nonperishable donations for the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia.
School officials expect high demand for tickets based on last year’s turnout and encourage early reservations.
