“Reflections of a Southern Life: Works on Paper” will be on display August 30 through September 27 at the Piedmont College Mason-Scharfenstein Museum of Art (MSMA).
The exhibition was developed by interior designer and curator Suzanne Hicks of Watkinsville, Georgia. Hicks selected eight Georgia artists who work in watercolor or pastel. Showcasing a range of realistic styles, they focus on the landscape, culture, and people of the South.
Included in the exhibition are selections by Rosie Coleman, Jackie Dorsey, Suzanne Hicks, Kie Johnson, Kathy Kitz, Nancy Nowack, Karen Sturm, and Gail Watson.
Admission to the museum, located at 567 Georgia Street in Demorest, is free. The MSMA is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
