A person was injured in an accidental shooting Wednesday morning in the Amy’s Creek community, located off Ga. 17 outside of Clarkesville, according to the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office.
Units from the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office and Habersham County Emergency Services responded to the scene at approximately 11:15 a.m. after reports that a firearm had discharged, injuring the individual.
The victim, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was transported by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville for treatment.
At this time, no further details have been released. The incident remains under investigation.
