Muscogee County Sheriff Greg Countryman launches Operation Good Samaritan to help feed those in need. “We have many in our county who are struggling to make ends meet,” Sheriff Countryman posted on Facebook along with a list of dry goods, canned items and toiletries the Sheriff’s office is accepting.

The donations will be given out in two phases. The giveaway date for Phase I will be November 18, 2025, at the MCSO Headquarters located at 1000 5th Ave, at 6:00 PM. This will be a drive-thru giveaway, and the front parking lot will be blocked off. No one will be allowed to line up until 5:30 PM and we will have deputies directing traffic during this time. Sheriff Countryman posted “We strongly ask that only those who are truly in need line up for this food giveaway. We do not want to take away from any family who may be struggling during this time.”

If you miss the first phase there will be a second phase to give away donations. The Sheriff’s office will be accepting donations through November 21, 2025.
