The Georgia State Patrol charged a driver from Westminster, South Carolina, with causing a wreck that injured her and another driver in Habersham County. The accident happened around 9 a.m. Tuesday, December 15 on GA-105/Cannon Bridge Road.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, Kendra Headings, 21, failed to yield while entering Cannon Bridge from Old Cleveland Road. The Ford Transit she was driving struck a southbound GMC Sonoma driven by Dustin Groves, 36, of Alto.
The impact of the collision caused Headings’ vehicle to rotate and travel off the northbound side of the road. The Sonoma wound up in a ditch.
Habersham EMS transported Headings to Habersham Medical Center in Demorest with possible injuries. EMTs transported Groves to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
The State Patrol charged Headings with failure to yield after stopping at a stop sign.
