Legislative update from State Representative Terry Rogers

The first week of the legislative session is in the books and obviously the highlight of the week was the Governor’s State of the State speech. I thought the Governor did an excellent job! He laid out a bold and challenging vision for where we should be going while acknowledging at the same time we have our work cut out for us.

I was especially impressed with his focus on education and streamlining adoption requirements. Both are areas that have needed help and I think we’re making some great strides.

The video in this update is well worth two minutes of your time! I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did. I’ll be sending out our video updates every week, so if you have questions, concerns, or ideas, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me and we’ll try and address them.

In the meantime, I’m looking forward to the budget hearings next week and getting started on implementing our plans to continue having Georgia remain the number one state to live, work, and raise a family!

As always thank you for giving me the opportunity to represent you. It’s an honor and a privilege I never take lightly.
