Four Habersham County residents face drug charges following an 8-month-long investigation by state and local authorities.
On January 25, authorities arrested Shannon Lynn Wade, 38, and Gary Paul Stratton, 22, both of Demorest, and charged them with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. They also arrested Gabriel Bevers, 26, of Mt. Airy, and Chelsey Hilton Holiday, 32, of Demorest, and charged them with possession of heroin with intent to distribute.
“During the investigation, a total of 12 ounces of methamphetamine and a pound and a half of marijuana were recovered as evidence,” says Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office Special Agent in Charge Trent Hillsman.
The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office, Demorest Police Department, and ARDEO were involved in the investigation.
According to Hillsman, the investigation is still active and ongoing.
