Indians take 14-0 blowout at BASA

Tallulah Falls snapped a 2-game slide with a convincing 14-0 blowout at BASA on Monday evening. The #5 Indians scored four in the second, six in the third, one in the fourth, and three in the fifth to seal the win.

In the second, Gregory Mendez had an RBI single to get it started, then Caden Walker brought home two on a line drive to left. In the third, the half-dozen runs were highlighted by a Danny Grant 2-run triple. Chris Waldron added an RBI hit to plate Grant and make it a 10-0 game. Mendez had an RBI double in the fourth as well.

Walker and Grant had three RBI apiece, and Andrew Skvarka and Mendez (two RBI) each had two hits and two runs. Chase Pollock picked up the win after going four strong innings while giving up three hits and no walks against seven strikeouts. Robert Grant went the final inning in relief. The Indians improve to 12-5 overall and 6-1 in region play.
