The Tallulah Falls Indians opened the 2022 season on the road at North Hall and played to a 3-3 draw behind Sean Lyles, Jr.’s hat trick.

Assists came from Austin Ball, Giovanni Ramirez, and Trevor Bramlett for TFS, as Lyles notched his first career hat trick.

“All players played and did well,” says coach Jeremy Stille. “Hard physical game, but adapted well. It’s a good foundation to start the season.”

The Indians are 0-0-1 and return to the pitch on Friday at home against Wesleyan.

Lady Indians season opener

The season didn’t open the way the Lady Indians had hoped, especially after taking a commanding 2-0 lead in the first half at North Hall on Wednesday night. The Lady Trojans stormed back with 3 unanswered in the second half to claim a 3-2 win.

Addie Higbie got the scoring started with a goal for TFS in the center of the field. Honora Kahwach scored from the left side later in the half to push the lead up to 2-0.

North Hall found the net 3 times in the second half, with the third coming on a free kick with under 5 minutes on the board.

“I’m very proud of the team’s effort,” says coach Travis Mullis. “Most players received significant minutes. The girls played hard to the final whistle, walking off in a downpour of rain.”

TFS is 0-1 to open the season, and quickly look to rebound with a home match on Friday against Wesleyan.
