The Athens-Clarke County Police Department has arrested Trontaveous Mattox, 18, of Hartwell in connection with an Athens shooting that took place in September of this year.
On Sept. 24, 2021, around midnight, the ACCPD responded to reports of a shooting on East Carver Drive. Officers found a 19-year-old female with multiple gunshot wounds at the site. According to the police department, the victim was transported by emergency medical services to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
On Oct. 29, the ACCPD arrested Mattox for his involvement in this incident. Mattox is charged with four counts of aggravated assault.
