ATLANTA — Georgia SNAP recipients will receive their full November benefits following new federal directives issued after the passage and signing of the federal government funding package.
The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) announced that households that already received only a partial SNAP distribution earlier this month will get the remainder of their benefits by Tuesday, November 18. All other recipients will receive their full allotments on their regular issuance dates for the rest of the month.
State officials are urging SNAP recipients to take extra precautions to protect their benefits. DHS recommends locking EBT cards between purchases to prevent unauthorized use. The “lock my card everywhere” feature is available in the ConnectEBT mobile app for both Android and Apple devices. Users who can’t access the app may log in through the ConnectEBT website to lock or unlock their cards and check their balance.
