Funeral services will be held this weekend for a woman who died while in custody in Banks County. 47-year-old Tammy Sue Greenway passed away Tuesday.
Her funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. January 30, 2016, in the McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home chapel in Cornelia. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
The Banks County Sheriff’s Office says Greenway was found unconscious in her cell Tuesday morning. She was transported to a local hospital, where she later died.
Greenway was arrested for aggravated assault on January 23. The GBI is investigating her death but officials say foul play is not suspected.
