Merry Christmas everybody.
The worst of the arctic blast is behind us. Most of the region managed to avoid single digits on Christmas morning, but low/mid teens were widespread making it the coldest Christmas morning in years.
A Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect for most of the region until 11AM, but temperatures will be warming quite a bit more than we have seen the past few days. It will still be chilly, but no where near where we have been. Highs in the higher elevations will likely stall out in the 20s once again, but elsewhere highs should reach near or just above the freezing mark, so let the thaw begin.
Overnight we will see temps once again dip into the teens and low-20s region-wide. All but a select very high elevations should get above freezing tomorrow, and by the end of the week we will be back above normal on temperatures.
