Dogs bite, injure 2-year-old boy in White County

A 2-year-old boy who briefly went missing was bitten and injured by a group of dogs.

White County deputies responded to a call Friday about the missing toddler at 243 Hiawatha Hills Road in Cleveland. When they arrived, the child’s mother and another adult met them. They told the officers they found the boy at a neighbor’s house, WRWH News reports.

Capt. Clay Hammond says it appears the child walked to the neighbor’s residence. “Deputies learned the child had been bitten multiple times, by a group of dogs and had serious injuries,” Hammond said.

White County EMS transported the child to the hospital where, at last report, he was in stable condition.
