Daniel “Danny” Holtzclaw, age 66, of Gainesville, entered rest Friday, June 9, 2023, at Gold City Nursing Home with his family by his side.
Danny was born February 1, 1957, in Dawsonville, Georgia, to the late Roy Dean & Martha Chester Holtzclaw. He was a feed truck driver for Pilgrims for a number of years. He was so proud of being awarded the safe driving award from Pilgrim, having no accidents during his career there. He was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by a sister, Gail Shope.
Left to cherish memories, wife of 47 years, Sharon Holtzclaw; son, Derick Holtzclaw; grandchildren, Elaria Holtzclaw, Emilyn Holtzclaw, Olivia Holtzclaw; sisters, Jean (Jerry) Foster & Sherry (Bryce) Shook; a number of nieces, nephews & other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at the Chapel of Ward’s Funeral Home, with Rev. Danny Jones officiating. He will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 12, 2023, at the funeral home.
