Charles Terrell Cantrell, age 81 of Alto, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018.
Born in White County, Georgia on January 1, 1937, he was a son of the late Leamon and Nancy Louise Sosebee Cantrell. Mr. Cantrell was formerly a truck driver with Cornelia Produce and Grocery and later retired from Conoco. He enjoyed automotive repair and antique clocks.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bruce Cantrell, David Cantrell, and Dorothy Broome.
Surviving are his loving wife of 61 years, Rosa Lee Simmons Cantrell of Alto; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Max & Wanda Cantrell of Gainesville and James Allen & Peggy Cantrell of Baldwin; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn & Mario Sanchez of Gillsville and Pamela Denise & Scott Ryan of Hoschton; brother, Carson Cantrell of Lula; sisters, Barbara Umbehant of Demorest, Brenda Harris of Cornelia, Shelby Jones of Augusta; 18 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 4 pm, Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Mt. Sinai Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Ronald Cook and Rev. Johnny Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Baldwin City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
