Betty C. “Chris” Greemon Palmer

Betty C. “Chris” Greemon Palmer, age 92, of Demorest, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024.

Born in Cornelia on June 17, 1932, Mrs. Palmer was the daughter of the late Willie T. “Bill” and Minnie Chitwood Greemon. Mrs. Palmer was a homemaker and a member of Hills Crossing Baptist Church. She enjoyed flowers and gardening, as well as music, cats, and riding in the mountains. Mrs. Palmer was also an avid reader. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Palmer is preceded in death by her husband Roy Lee Palmer, brother Jack Greemon, infant sister Jewell Greemon, son-in-law Randy King, and great-granddaughter Callie Rose Palmer.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Bobby and Kathy Palmer of Clarkesville and Dave and Karen Palmer of Toccoa, daughter Betsy King of Clarkesville, daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Jeff Sosebee of Clarkesville, sisters Ann Leonard (Tommy) of Homer, Irene Carpenter of Demorest and Linda Phillips (Buddy) of Mt. Airy, grandchildren Frank King (Misty), Blake Palmer, Brooke Palmer Ciolino (Steve), Spencer Palmer (Krystle), Joshua Palmer (Rebekah), Alex Sosebee (Chelsea), Mark Palmer (Jessie), and Morgan Sosebee Going (David), great-grandchildren Adaline Sosebee, Sadie Palmer, Maddux Palmer, Charlotte Palmer, Annie Palmer, Whit Palmer, Olivia Palmer and Alice Palmer as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Hills Crossing Baptist Church, with Rev. Terry Rice officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at Hills Crossing Baptist Church from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
