Five more days remain for you to participate in advance voting for the November 5th General Election. A large number of voters have cast ballots during the last two weeks.
White County Elections Supervisor Amie Veater says that, as of Saturday, 9,224 ballots had been cast, including 360 ballots cast on Saturday. In addition to the in-person voting, 530 absentee-by-mail ballots have been received in the office.
This represents just under half the registered voters in White County.
Similar high voter turnout is being reported across the state as Georgians flock to the polls ahead of the November 5th General Election. On Monday, Oct. 28, Georgia voters surpassed the 2.9 million mark for total turnout – breaking 40% of all active voters.
Advance voting continues from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, Nov. 1. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day.
