Adron Virginia Stonecypher, age 92, of Demorest, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021.
Mrs. Stonecypher was born on August 9, 1928, in Habersham County, Georgia, to the late Payton and Annie Mae Ramey Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, Henry Luther “HL” Stonecypher; sisters, Dorothy Taylor, Vera Hammond, Ora Sullivan, and Ruth Welch. Mrs. Stonecypher was a member of Hills Crossing Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Toccoa Eastern Star #294 and the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, where she served in both groups for over 50 years. Mrs. Stonecypher was a graduate of Clarkesville High School.
Survivors include her daughter, Edna Stonecypher, of Demorest; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Dennis DuVan, Mesa, AZ; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Peggy Taylor, of Clarkesville; grandchildren, Dennis J. DuVan, Jr., of Fairfield, OH; Cherish Duty, of Grand Cayman Island; and seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Private Family Graveside Services will be held at the Hills Crossing Baptist Church Cemetery.
