A free cup of coffee and friendly start to your morning

There’s nothing like a steaming hot cup of coffee on a cold soon-to-be-winter morning. When the brew is free, it’s even better.

Hills Crossing Baptist Church, 3569 Toccoa Hwy, Clarkesville, Ga, has just the fix for passerbyers. And if you are hungry, a nice doughnut is the perfect match.

Pastor David Stancil did not allow the cold to squelch his enthusiasm as he talked with those who dropped by for the ‘drive-thru’ service.

Matt Newton got the idea from Cornelia Methodist Church. He wanted an opportunity for Clarkesville to share the same and find a way to make it their own. The church features a coffee-growing country monthly, so the congregation can enjoy the various flavors and richness of coffees grown worldwide. It is an idea they want to incorporate in the Friday morning coffee blends.

“We want to pray with those who need prayer or just give a friendly start Friday mornings in a good way,” Stancil said.

If you are out and about and would like a freshly brewed cup of coffee, stop by and say “hello”. Let them know, Now Habersham sent you their way.
