Cornelia police ask for help identifying burglary suspect

For the second time in a week, Cornelia police are asking the public for help identifying and locating a burglar.

Surveillance images show the suspect outside and inside a local store that was burglarized around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 30. The suspect wore a white mask and dark hoodie.

A news release from the Cornelia Police Department says the subject is believed to be a white male in his teens, around five feet eight inches tall and 150 pounds.

On June 28, police took another burglary suspect into custody after he overdosed on fentanyl in an unrelated incident. Chance Hess is charged with felony burglary in connection to a break-in at Sugartopia bakery on North Main Street.
