Authorities charged two Alto residents with trafficking methamphetamine following a two-month investigation.
On Tuesday, May 3, the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office and the GBI Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office executed a search warrant at 450 Harrison Trail in Alto. During the investigation, agents say it was revealed that 58-year-old Jacquelyn Delosreyes (alias last name Hernandez) and 27-year-old Joey Arguiles were involved in illegal drug activity.
“Upon the execution of the search, 70 grams of methamphetamine, 28 grams of heroin, and fentanyl pills were seized, along with an amount of U.S. currency,” says ARDEO Special Agent in Charge Trent Hillsman.
The estimated street value of the seized drugs is $9,400.
Hillsman says more charges are pending against Delosreyes and Arguiles for the heroin and fentanyl seized from the residence. Jail records show both were arrested for trafficking meth in October of 2019. Agents also charged Arguiles with violating his probation: It’s the second time in less than a year he’s been charged with that.
A magistrate judge denied both of them bond. Delosreyes and Arguiles remain in custody at the Habersham County Detention Center.
