Habersham Central High School will hold its graduation ceremony this Friday, May 21st. It will be a traditional ceremony beginning at 8 p.m. at Raider Stadium in Mt. Airy.
The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday released a map of traffic patterns flowing into and out of the ceremony.
According to the sheriff’s office, beginning at 4:45 p.m. Friday, Camp Creek Raod between Ga. 197 South and Owens Circle will be closed.
After graduation, the traffic will flow as follows:
- Vehicles leaving from the high school parking lot will be allowed to turn out of the parking lot going left or right. The vehicles that turn left toward the 4-way stop at Camp Creek and Highway 197 will only be permitted to turn right onto Camp Creek Rd.
- Vehicles leaving from the front of the Ninth Grade Academy will only be permitted to turn left out of the Ninth Grade Academy onto Highway 197 (heading toward Clarkesville)
- Vehicles leaving from behind the Ninth Grade Academy will only be permitted to turn left onto Owens Circle heading towards Camp Creek. Once at the intersection of Camp Creek and Owens Circle, vehicles will only be permitted to turn right (heading towards Cornelia).
Traffic backs up on the main thoroughfares leading to the stadium well in advance of the ceremony. If you’re planning to attend, leave yourself plenty of time to avoid traffic and find a parking space. Handicapped parking is limited. Raider Stadium is located at 171 Raider Circle, Mt. Airy, Georgia, 30563.
