Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School’s boy’s basketball players recently attended two showcases.
Nine players and Coach Dustin Barnes traveled to Cherokee High School to participate in the Western North Carolina Phenom Hoops Showcase on Saturday, August 31. Players in attendance were Luke Earnhardt ’23 of Rabun Gap, GA, N’fari Benjamin ’21 of New York City, NY, Solomon King ’20 of Marietta, GA, Avery Rivera ’20 of New York City, NY , Ricardas Butkus ’21 of Kaunas, Lithuania, John Bonney ’20 of Brooklyn, NY, Conrad Kragh ’21 of Horsens, Denmark, John Tastinger ’21 of Otto, NC, and Samuel Perez ’21 of Teruel, Spain.
The Phenom Hoops organization is North Carolina’s source for high school basketball college exposure.
Team members also attended the SEBA Showcase at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta on September 7. Those who attended were: Tastinger, Brian He ‘23 of Beijing, China, Simon Guo ‘22 of Beijing, China, Kragh, Jaka Oberlajt ‘22 of Maribor, Slovenia, Butkus, Earnhardt, and Perez. Butkus was named to the camp’s all-star team.
