Thomas E. Funk, Jr. was last seen on Oct. 1, 2011
Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Investigators are reintroducing information in the case of a missing Hall County man on the seven-year anniversary of his disappearance.
Thomas E. Funk Jr. was last seen by his roommate at 2524 Oconee Circle in Gainesville during the evening of Saturday, October 1, 2011. When the roommate woke up the next morning, Funk was gone, but his cell phone and vehicle were still there.
At the time of his disappearance, Funk was 6 feet tall and weighed 155 pounds. He is a white man with brown hair and blue eyes. Born in August of 1964, he would now be 54-years-old.
Several days before he went missing, Funk was treated at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center emergency room for an injury to his foot from an accident with a circular saw.
Despite an ongoing effort to solve the case, including several searches using dogs this year, Criminal Investigations Division detectives have no leads in the case.
Anyone with additional information on Thomas Funk’s disappearance is urged to contact the Hall County Sheriff’s Office. Investigator Blake Farr is handling the case and can be reached at (770) 297-5501.
