John Allen Gwinn, age 59 of Rabun Gap, Georgia formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018 in Toccoa, Georgia.
Born in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 19, 1958 to the late William Richard Gwinn and Mary Catherine Mauck Avery. Mr. Gwinn proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was an avid chef who loved to take food and make delightful creations for the taste buds. He enjoyed fishing and crafts, especially woodworking. Mr. Gwinn will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William “Billy” Richard Gwinn, Jr.
Surviving are his sisters, Frances Mauck of Indianapolis, Indiana; Norma Jo Graham of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Amanda Jones of California, Maryland; step-sisters, Mary Macaluso and Gema Kaminer both of Phoenix, Arizona.
Mr. Gwinn’s wishes were to be cremated and no formal services are planned at this time.
