Eighth grader Shawn Huebner of Clarkesville was named an Indian of the Week by middle school coed soccer coach Zac Roland. “Shawn is the kind of player who does whatever is asked of him and whatever his team needs, and he does it outstandingly,” Roland said. “Last match, he came in and played goalie and had several clutch saves to hold Summit Charter School scoreless. Shawn is someone who can both a quiet leader and an encouraging follower. He is truly a necessity to any team and a joy to coach.”

Freshman Chris Geiger of Sautee Nacoochee was selected as an Indian of the Week by varsity cross country coach Scott Neal. Geiger moved up to become the number three TFS runner at the recent Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School meet. “Chris ran the 5K cross country race in 20:12, only three seconds behind our number two runner, while placing sixteenth of sixty runners from four schools,” Neal said. “A talented, fluid harrier, Chris is beginning to run with higher goals and it shows.”

Senior Julia Nichols of Clarkesville was named an Indian of the Week by varsity cross country coach Scott Neal. “Julia is a senior cross country manager whose exceptional contributions to the team are unmatched,” Neal said. “Planning, organizing, leading in any manner, inspiring, and legacy building are her consistent traits.”
